New York was a blast!

It was so great to see Mom and Cynthia AND David and meet Alex finally in New York City. We always have a blast. I'm not going to say much about the actual trip, since I wrote all about it on my blog (link to it is on this one). But here aer some pics for your viewing pleasure. Love you all!!!

This was at the restaurant where we had dinner. Mom calls it the "girls gone wild" pic.

I am going to have to lighten up this pic, but here it is. All I have to say is a big "you're welcome" to David. I could have posted an all together different, and funny take of this pic.

Andrew is 2

Well, I know it is a little late, but Andrew is now two!! We had a little party at Mom's on his birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese the following day. He had so much fun with all the games.

We plan to have another party after Bobby's parents get back from Portugal. Lucky little boy--three birthdays parties in one month.
He is getting really good at blowing out the candles. He does has a tendency of spitting on the cake, but we don't mind that much.

He likes his present from his Auntie Elena, a frog backpack and has been using it a lot. His Titia Leighann gave him a Nemo costume for his birthday and it is soooo cute. When he runs in it the tail waves back and forth so it looks like he is swimming. I love it.

You don't want to forget about the cake. As you can see Andrew love chocolate, just like his mommy and daddy. I guess is runs in the family.
Wish you all could have been there.
I miss my family and wish you could see Andrew growing up before your eyes. But I guess I will try to post blogs so you can see him here.

September 14

Congratulations to Timothy and Kristjiana who exchanged vows the evening of September 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Jose, California. Kristijiana wore her mother's wedding dress and was a beautiful bride. Timothy reminded Mom of her own wedding -- he had such a strong firm voice reciting his vows, just like Greg so many years ago. The small group of loved ones attending included Kristijiana's grandparents Rebecca and David, Aunt Holly and her family, Greg, Maria, Matthew, Theresa, Cynthia, Andrew, and of course, Mina.

Pastor Kramar was so nice. I mentioned to him that he reminded me of an actor. He knew immediately who I was thinking of as he answered, "Robin Williams." He helped set up a small reception after the ceremony where the bride and groom shared cake and the favors Pastor Kramar made. Everything was put together so quickly, but I thought it was all good. I was honored to be a witness and sign the marriage certificate. Dad and I are happy and wish the best to Timothy and Kristijiana.

Afterward we had dinner at our place and shared some of Dad's wine which is quite good. Rebecca and I will be planning a reception in October at the Clowers. Look for updates on that!

Gov't Mule & David In DC

Today I was scoping out the free morning paper, after doing as much of the crossword puzzle as I possibly could, when I saw Gov’t Mule is coming to DC. Gov’t Mule is a classic rock band that David introduced Lane and me to last year. We went to see them in concert on New Year’s Eve in NYC. They LOVED it. I say they because I actually fell asleep during the concert. This might have had something to do with the fact that the band played from 10 pm to 2 am. C’mon guys, that’s too long for a sissy like me!

Anyway, they’re going to be here in October. It was the perfect way to entice David to come visit and go to the concert. He’s bringing Alex and they’re going to stay with us. I’m so excited to spend the weekend with them both. I’m already plotting my Saturday morning breakfast bonanza.

A summary of the weekend festivities to follow!

Theresa Promised!

So Theresa keeps telling me about these cute pictures and videos she has of Andrew. Not to mention these stories about designer jeans and other humorous stuff. She promised she'd post some pics and/or stories sometime tomorrow. I let her know I was holding her to it. And here's how. We're all looking forward to your upcoming posts, Theresa!!!

XOXO
